The gene product expressed in bacteria demonstrates Ca++ dependent binding to phosphatidylserine-containing vesicles similar to the binding by placental endonexin II.

Detects a 1.6 kb mRNA which is abundant in endothelial cells.

The depositor indicates that pRK6 is identical to pRK1, except that the host strain for pRK6 is TGI and pRK1 is JM103.

Sequence of the insert extends from the NcoI site including the ATG initiation signal through the HindIII site 323 bp downstream of the translational stop codon. An inducible trc promoter and a transcription terminator is provided by the vector.
