Data for haplotypes formed by using the A and F morphs improved the LOD score for linkage between multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2A (MEN2A) and D10Z1 (theta = 0, LOD score = 14.06).
There is tight linkage between medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) with parathyroid tumors (PTs) and no pheochromocytomas (PHEOs) and D10Z1 (theta = 0, LOD score = 2.86).
The insert contains 4 EcoRI repeat units of 340 bp each. A SacI/PstI double digest should give fragments of 1.0 kb and 0.36 kb from the insert.
