Complete Growth Medium

RPMI 1640 medium with 0.02 mg/ml 6-thioguanine, 1 mM sodium pyruvate and 2 mM L-glutamine, 85%; fetal bovine serum, 15%

Subculturing

Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10⁵ cells/mL and maintain between 1 X 10⁵ and 1 X 10⁶ cells/mL.

Medium Renewal: 2 to 3 times per week

Cryopreservation

Complete growth medium described above supplemented with 5% (v/v) DMSO. Cell culture tested DMSO is available as ATCC Catalog No. 4-X.
